	Montefiore Unveils New North Division
July 23, 2008 Montefiore Medical Center officially unveiled its new North Division marking the hospital's takeover of Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center. The acquisition brings the Montefiore healthcare system up to 2,600 doctors and 16,000 employees. Employees say the acquisition is for the better. "I can see new improvements with the computers, the facility looks cleaner and the patient care is getting better," said one employee. "We're getting more patients because Montefiore is a reputable name and people go all over to see them," added another. "So we're looking forward to have a higher clientele here." The move gives Montefiore Medical four hospitals.
